When I started my surrogacy journey as an intended parent in 2019, I felt that many (not all!) agencies took advantage of my unfortunate situation by demanding a crazy amount of money and overemphasizing the complexity of a surrogacy journey. The global surrogacy market is expected to cross $28 billion by 2025, a statistic that reflects the fact that surrogacy is a business. And when you're doing business, whether you are a potential intended parent or intended surrogate, knowledge is power. 

One thing that I have learned as an accounting professor is the value and power of information. Agencies are overcharging and one reason why is because the surrogacy process is clouded in a veil of mystery. Taking this course will unveil that mystery and give you the confidence you need to stand up for yourself in your surrogacy journey.

    This course is for anyone interested in how surrogacy works in the USA. The material covered in the course is deep enough so that anyone considering to become an intended parent or surrogate will feel knowledgeable enough to embark on a journey without the help of an agency.

  • Are you against surrogacy agencies?

    Absolutely not. I believe that agencies serve a very important role in the surrogacy industry. However, the average cost of hiring a surrogacy agency is $25,000, which makes the surrogacy process in the USA prohibitively expensive. My goal is to give potential surrogates and potential intended parents the knowledge they need so that they can effectively evaluate agencies and/or decide to pursue a surrogacy journey without the help of one.

  • I plan to hire an agency. Should I take this course anyway?

    Yes. I am not associated with any surrogacy agency so the information I share in this course is not biased. I am also very transparent about what every step of the surrogacy journey entails. Some agencies lead intended parents and surrogates to believe that the surrogacy process is overly complex, which is not necessarily true. This course is meant to arm you with knowledge, so that when you talk to agencies you know what to ask for so that you are not swindled.
